Pings sent by Standby cluster member consume a large number of NAT high ports
Symptoms
  • Pings sent by Standby cluster member consume a large number of NAT high ports.
Cause

Each ICMP Echo Request sent by Standby member generates a new entry in the Connections Table (due to stateful ICMP and cluster hide NAT) because each ping packet uses a new ICMP Identification number.
