Updated SmartConsole and SmartDomain Manager for R77.10

Check Point offers an updated SmartConsole and SmartDomain Manager for R77.10 that integrates solutions for:

 

Procedure:

  • Show / Hide installation instructions for Management Server running on Gaia OS - using CPUSE (Check Point Update Service Engine)

    We recommend using CPUSE, formerly known as "Gaia Software Updates", to install this package.

    • Show / Hide instructions for Gaia Portal

      1. Connect with a browser to the Gaia Portal on your Security Management Server / Multi-Domain Security Management Server machine.

      2. Obtain the lock over the configuration database (click on the lock icon at the top - near 'Sign Out').

      3. Navigate to the 'Software Updates' - 'Status and Actions' pane.

      4. Go to the 'Updates' tab to see the published hotfixes available for download.

      5. Select the "R77.10 SmartConsole for Windows resolving sk98734" - right-click on it - click on 'Download' (this will download the hotfix to your machine).

      6. Right-click on the "R77.10 SmartConsole for Windows resolving sk98734" - click on 'Install' (this will install the hotfix on the machine and display the installation status).

      7. When prompted for reboot (a pop up window appears), confirm to reboot the machine.

      8. Connect with a browser to Gaia Portal on your Security Management Server / Multi-Domain Security Management Server.

      9. Log in.

      10. Download the updated SmartConsole:

        • Either:
          In the left upper corner, click on 'Overview' pane - at the top, click on 'Download Now!' button

        • Or:
          Go to 'Maintenance' pane - go to 'Download Smart Console' - click on 'Download' button


      11. On your SmartConsole computer, go to Start menu - (go to 'Settings') - go to 'Control Panel' - go to 'Add/Remove Programs' / 'Programs and Features' - uninstall the current "Check Point SmartConsole R77.10".

      12. Install the updated R77.10 SmartConsole (double-click on the downloaded setup file).

      13. Verify that you have the updated version - open the C:\Program Files (x86)\CheckPoint\SmartConsole\R77.10\PROGRAM\BuildInfo file - build number should be 990150213 or higher.


    • Show / Hide instructions for Clish

      1. Connect to command line on Security Management Server / Multi-Domain Security Management Server (over SSH, or console).

      2. Log in to Clish shell.

      3. See the list of available packages for download:

        HostName> show installer available_packages

      4. Download this hotfix:

        HostName> installer download Check_Point_SmartConsole_R77.10_B990150213.tgz

      5. Check the download progress by repeatedly running this command:

        HostName> show installer package_status
        Outputs for example:
        Check_Point_SmartConsole_R77.10_B990150213.tgz - Downloading (2.95 MB/s)  - Progress: 6%
        Check_Point_SmartConsole_R77.10_B990150213.tgz - Available for install
        
      6. See the list of available packages for install:

        HostName> show installer available_local_packages

      7. Install this hotfix:

        HostName> installer install Check_Point_SmartConsole_R77.10_B990150213.tgz

      8. Check the installation progress by repeatedly running this command:

        HostName> show installer package_status
        Outputs for example:
        Check_Point_SmartConsole_R77.10_B990150213.tgz - Installing        - Progress: 3%
        Check_Point_SmartConsole_R77.10_B990150213.tgz - installed
        
      9. Machine will be rebooted automatically.

      10. Connect with a browser to Gaia Portal on your Security Management Server / Multi-Domain Security Management Server.

      11. Log in.

      12. Download the updated SmartConsole:

        • Either:
          In the left upper corner, click on 'Overview' pane - at the top, click on 'Download Now!' button

        • Or:
          Go to 'Maintenance' pane - go to 'Download Smart Console' - click on 'Download' button


      13. On your SmartConsole computer, go to Start menu - (go to 'Settings') - go to 'Control Panel' - go to 'Add/Remove Programs' / 'Programs and Features' - uninstall the current "Check Point SmartConsole R77.10".

      14. Install the updated R77.10 SmartConsole (double-click on the downloaded setup file).

    1. Download this updated SmartConsole.

    2. On your SmartConsole computer, go to Start menu - (go to 'Settings') - go to 'Control Panel' - go to 'Add/Remove Programs' / 'Programs and Features' - uninstall the current "Check Point SmartConsole R77.10".

    3. Install the updated R77.10 SmartConsole (double-click on the downloaded setup file).

    4. Verify that you have the updated version - open the C:\Program Files (x86)\CheckPoint\SmartConsole\R77.10\PROGRAM\BuildInfo file - build number should be 990150213 or higher.
