Security Management is configured to accept syslog connections. However, after reboot, Check Point's syslog process is listening on 127.0.0.1 instead of 0.0.0.0 Technical Level
Symptoms
  • Security Management is configured to accept syslog connections.
However, after reboot, Check Point's syslog process is listening on 127.0.0.1 instead of 0.0.0.0
Cause

The default configuration leads to Check Point's syslog not being able to accept incoming syslog connections through the machine's interfaces.

Although the default configuration of Check Point's syslog process configures it to bind to 127.0.0.1:515, this configuration does not fit this scenario, and should be adjusted manually.
