If SecureXL is enabled, you cannot open a connection from a computer in the encryption domain to a client computer outside of the encryption domain. This is because the userc_users kernel table does not refresh when traffic is flowing through the VPN tunnel and SecureXL is enabled.

This is resolved when the back connections keep alive feature is enabled.

To enable the back connection keep alive feature:

1. In SmartDashBoard, select 'Global Properties > Remote Access> Enable Back Connections'.

2. Add two new attributes to the ttm file on the GW:

:keep_alive (
:gateway (desktop_keep_alive
:default ()
)
)
:keep_alive_interval (
:gateway (desktop_keep_alive_interval
:default (20)
)
)
