Symptoms
  • SmartView Tracker logs show that all traffic is rejected on R75.46 Security Gateway by IPS protection 'Non HTTP Traffic on HTTP port' (after Security Gateway upgrade to R75.46 or clean installation of R75.46):

    Action: Reject
    Protection Name: Non HTTP Traffic on HTTP port
    Attack: Block non HTTP traffic on HTTP port
    Attack Information: Non HTTP Traffic over HTTP port
    Reason: Non HTTP Traffic over HTTP port: Invalid character in method



  • 'The Non HTTP Traffic on HTTP Port protection is not found.' error pops up when clicking on 'Add Exception...' in SmartView Tracker log.



  • 'The Non-HTTP Traffic on HTTP Port protection is not found.' error pops up when clicking on 'Add Exception...' in SmartView Tracker log.



  • IPS protection called 'Non-HTTP Traffic on HTTP Port' can not be found in SmartDashboard on 'IPS' tab.
Cause

The signature's name inside Check Point code has changed (difference is between the log text and the name in GUI):

from

"Non HTTP Traffic on HTTP port"

to:

"Non-HTTP Traffic on HTTP port"
or
"Non-HTTP Traffic over HTTP port"
