Standby member changes its state to 'Down' when iBGP with 'local-address' is configured on ClusterXL Technical Level
Symptoms
  • Standby member changes its state to 'Down' when iBGP with 'local-address' is configured on ClusterXL in High Availability New mode.
Cause

Critical Device 'routed' reports its status as 'problem'.

The 'routed' pnote reports its state as 'problem' in the following cases:

  • when Master turns to Slave
  • a cluster member reboots
  • if there is any inconsistency in Dynamic Routing configuration on cluster members

The 'routed' pnote reports its state as 'ok' in the following cases:

  • when ClusterXL notifies the RouteD daemon that it is a Master
  • when RouteD daemon receives the entire routing state from the Master cluster member
