Solution

By default, Endpoint Security E80.40 runs in 32-bit mode.

Endpoint Security E80.40 also supports running in 64-bit mode, providing higher capacity.

In order to use Endpoint Security E80.40 in 64-bit mode, you must install it on Gaia 64-bit and apply the below procedure.

Note: The same file listed in this SecureKnowledge article is also applicable for Endpoint Security E80.50.

Procedure for supporting 64-bit Space in Gaia:

  1. Copy glibc_64b.tgz (RPM file can be downloaded from here) to your management server.
  2. Extract the files from the tar file:
    • # tar xvfz glibc_64b.tgz
  3. Enter the folder ./glibc_64b and modify files permissions in it:
    • # chmod 755 *
  4. Execute the update script:
    • # ./update_glibc_64b.sh

To check the server version, run the following command on the Endpoint Security machine:

On Gaia: cpvinfo $UEPMDIR/system/install/postinstall

On Windows: cpvinfo %UEPMDIR%\system\install\postinstall

The output will include the server version.
