Symptoms

After policy installation, /var/log/messages on Security Gateway show this error:

kernel: FW-1: fwk_get_str_cparam: param rule-N-name buffer too small (40)

Cause

The name length of 'Native Application' object has no limits in SmartDashboard - 'Mobile Access' tab - 'Applications' - 'Native Applications'.

This is causing the kernel to fail to register the rule name in a kernel table during installation of Mobile Access policy.

As a result, some functionality will be missing on Security Gateway.
