SAM is bypassed in R80.40 (GA and Jumbo-hotfix releases) and functionally not operating. 10G Ports on the CPAC-ACCL-4-10F-21000 cannot be assigned as SAM ports in R80.40. Traffic connected to the Acceleration-ready 10G Interface Card (CPAC-ACCL-4-10F-21000) will be handled by the host and software acceleration will occur in GAIA as per configured security rulebase.
As a side effect of SAM bypass, the front-panel activity LEDs on the Acceleration-ready 10G interface card will also be disabled, however, the card will still otherwise function normally, link up and pass traffic

Note about 21000 HPP SAM Bundles
21000 Systems purchased as SAM HPP Bundles require a minimum version of R77.20 or a hotfix due to the expanded SAM memory included in this bundle. See sk102371.
The Check Point Security Acceleraton Module for the 21000 Appliance is an accessory that can be installed in the rear slot of the appliance, and that provides network traffic acceleration. This module is designed to meet the needs of high-performance and low latency customer environments. Network security traffic can be offloaded from the general purpose CPU to the Security Acceleration Module, letting customers run many security functions in highly demanding network environments.
SAM supports the maximum connection capacity of the 21000 appliance, with optional memory upgrade. Note that to achieve the maximum connection capacity possible, both the SAM and the host memory must be upgraded. See sk91880.
