Errors when adding IPS exceptions in SmartDashboard - "Failed to revert object", or "Failed to save object" Technical Level
Symptoms
  • When adding an IPS exception in SmartDashboard, an error message appears:

    • Failed to revert object.Server error is: N/A. (Code: 0x800415A1, Object Not Found)

    • Failed to save object.Server error is: Update without rename operation. (Code 0x8003001D, Could not access file for write operation)
  • Debug of FWM daemon (per sk86186) shows:

    table ips_exceptions has no column named profile_name
Cause

A corruption has occurred in the IPS database files.
