"An invalid argument was encountered" error in SmartView Monitor when working with "Top QoS Rules"
Symptoms
  • "An invalid argument was encountered" error pops up in SmartView Monitor in the following scenario:

    1. From the left folder tree select "Traffic" - "Top QoS Rules".
    2. Expand a Security Gateway / Cluster member object - select an interface - click on "OK" button.
    3. Above the graph - click on the "View Properties" button.
    4. Go to "Filter" tab - select "Only traffic the matches the below" - select "QoS Rules" - select a QoS rule from list (no need to check a box).


  • "An invalid argument was encountered" error pops up in SmartView Monitor in the following scenario:

    1. From the left folder tree select "Traffic" - "Top QoS Rules".
    2. Expand a Security Gateway / Cluster member object.
    3. Select an interface - click on "OK" button.
    4. Above the graph - click on the "View Properties" button.
    5. Go to "Query Type & Target" tab - select "Specific Target" - click on "Select...." button
    6. Expand a Security Gateway / Cluster member object - select an interface - click on "OK" button.
    7. Go to "Monitor by QoS Rules" tab - select "Specific QoS Rules" - select a QoS rule from list (no need to check a box).
