Anti-Virus / URL Filtering / IPS update fails on the Standby member of ClusterXL because of a connectivity issue with the Check Point Database Server.
When the problematic Standby member becomes the Active member in the cluster, the updates work correctly.
SmartView Tracker on Standby Gateway shows the below error:
AB Update status: failed
AB Update description: Update failed. Contract entitlement check failed. Gateway can not access internet
("https://updates.checkpoint.com/WebService/services/DownloadMetaDataService"). Check connectivity and proxy settings.
AB Next update description: The next try will be within one hour.
AB DB version: 1709122113
SmartView Monitor shows the following:
IPS Update description: Update failed. Contract entitlement check failed. Gateway can not access internet
("https://updates.checkpoint.com/WebService/services/DownloadMetaDataService"). Check connectivity and proxy settings.
Cause
The Standby member is not able to communicate with the Check Point Database server.
