Symptoms

SecurePlatform e1000 NIC settings (speed/duplex) cannot be saved from WebUI or ethtool. Changes do not survive reboot.
When choosing speed for an interface in WebUI, there is no option to select 1000Mbps, though inspecting the device through `#ethtool` shows that it is a 1000Mbps interface
