Symptoms
Various problems with keyboards in FDE preboot on UEFI machines, for example it enters random keys into the user field, CAPS shows when it is not on, or CAPS shows but the characters are not capitalized.
Cause
On machines in UEFI mode, the default setting to detect keyboards in FDE preboot is to first try to use the (old) PS/2 controller. On some machines, this interface causes problems.
