Symptoms

Connections from the Security Gateway to Check Point domains "checkpoint.com" fail.
Traffic captures on the outgoing interface do not show these connections.
Disabling the Management Data Plane Separation (MDPS, sk138672) resolves the issue.

Cause

SecureXL incorrectly routes the packets in Management Data Plane Separation (MDPS) deployments.
