Zero Phishing In-Browser protection is not working for HTTP sites Technical Level
Symptoms
  • When accessing HTTP sites and clicking inside input fields, they are not scanned.

  • The malicious test page http://zp-demo.com/mal-piranha.html

  • The test page http://zp-demo.com/verification/zphi_test.html shows "Not working".

Cause

Some web browsers might block the access to the Zero Phishing portal on the Security Gateway  when surfing to HTTP sites, if the Zero Phishing portal is configured to work on an IP address from a private range:

  • 10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255  (10.0.0.0 / 8)
  • 172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255  (172.16.0.0 / 12)
  • 192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255 (192.168.0.0 / 16)

This means that non-secure HTTP sites will not be scanned by the In-Browser Zero Phishing mechanism.
