Endpoint Security Client upgrade fails Technical Level
Symptoms
  • When Full Disk Encryption blade is installed, this error is seen in installation log (if Client upgrade is done via Deployment Rules, the upgrade log is in %programdata%\CheckPoint\Endpoint Security\) and %programdata%\CheckPoint\Endpoint Security\Full Disk Encryption\FDE_dlog:
    DATE TIME E MsiExec.exe:2fec FDEInstallDLL Failed to start file transaction against system area
    DATE TIME I MsiExec.exe:2fec FDEInstallDLL upgrade from XX.X.XX.X (DATE TIME) to XX.X.XX.X (DATE TIME) failed
    DATE TIME E MsiExec.exe:2fec Upgrade failure.
    
  • "Error 27116" and "Error 27569" may appear when running manual upgrade of Endpoint Security Client.
