Symptoms
  • SmartConsole stops working when trying to add IPS exception by right clicking on protection and selecting "Add Exception...".

Cause

The following IPS protections do not support exceptions:

  • FTP bounce
  • Known ports
  • dns_max reply_len
  • Port overflow
