Symptoms
  • Output of the "top" or "ps auxw" command shows high CPU utilization by the PDPD or VPND process on the Security Gateway.

  • This is a large scale environment with Identity Awareness or Endpoint Security Clients (there are many users that connect simultaneously).

  • The debug with the "perf" tool on the Security Gateway shows that the PDPD or VPND process runs the "fw_malloc" constantly.
