"Multiple objects have the same IP address 100.x.y.z" warning message when editing R80.40/R81 gateway objects on Smart-1 Cloud Technical Level
Symptoms
  • "Multiple objects have the same IP address 100.x.y.z" warning message when editing R80.40/R81 gateway objects on Smart-1 Cloud.

  • The other object that holds this IP will not appear in search within SmartConsole.

Cause

An old MaaS-Tunnel configuration automatically creates a redundant network object, causing this consistent warning message.

Solution

Delete this network object: "Net_<Gateway_IP_of_maas_tunnel>" (255.255.255.255) using the old SmartDashboard (via https inspection tab):

  • Open SmartDashboard from the Manage & Settings tab > Blades > Https Inspection:

    1. Search the object in objects list ("Net_<Gateway_IP_of_maas_tunnel>"), and delete it.

    2. Update the change.

    3. Close the old SmartDashboard > Publish.

  • After performing the above steps, make sure your gateway holds the latest package of the maas_tunnel:

    r80_40_maas_tunnel package-version 31 onwards.

    1. Connect to gateway via SSH.

    2. Run: 'autoupdatercli show | grep "maas_tunnel" -C 5' (or autoupdatercli show):

Note: Warning message may show if the gateway's topology was re-fetched without the updated tunnel.

Repeat the solution to re-fix it.
