CKP_mutex::lock_206 files generate rapidly and cause 100% use of inodes Technical Level
Symptoms
  • CKP_mutex::lock_206 files generate rapidly and cause 100% use of inodes.
  • The system does not forward traffic and is not able to run drop debug.
  • The commands result in "No space left on device" even though disk space is available.
  • # df -i shows 100% use of inodes.
  • The procedure in sk95487 shows that under /var/opt/CPshrd-RXX/tmp files with the name CKP_mutex::lock_206 are generated rapidly and not deleted.

Cause
The dlpu process causes the issue.

[Expert@vsx-fw-4:0]# lsof | grep CKP_mutex::lock

dlpu 60787 admin 2288u REG 253,4 0 2293964 /var/opt/CPshrd-R80.40/CTX/CTX00001/tmp/CKP_mutex::lock_206_8817783884A12AEC49B6F39CCE5A1D3AF9B3E1BE

The process creates these files in order to have rapid access to information and files. However, the process does not release the locks and therefore they are not deleted.
