User space core dumps on Security Gateways that use the AES-GCM encryption algorithm Technical Level
  • Corrupted registry (HKLM_registry) files on a Security Gateway.
  • Gateways generate many userspace cores.
  • Gateways have high CPU caused by the Python3 process of scripts.
  • The issue affects Gateways with VPN enabled.

The issue may affect Security Gateways with any products that use AES-GCM-128 or AES-GCM-256

For example:

  • VPN enabled with AES-GCM encryption
  • Cluster Gateways with CCP encryption enabled with AES-GCM encryption
  • HTTPS Inspection, where the AES-GCM algorithm is often used

Note: this issue only affects kernel-mode.
