Unable to get correct hmem values for SNMP OID .1.3.6.1.4.1.2620.1.1.26.1.11 Technical Level
Symptoms
  • SNMP OIDs for hmem values do not show properly
Cause
Kernel is not processing SNMP query for hmem used bytes properly

hmem values for the following SNMP OIDs do not show properly:

.1.3.6.1.4.1.2620.1.1.26.1.11
.1.3.6.1.4.1.2620.1.1.26.1.12

The following are snmpwalk sample outputs for these SNMP OIDs:

[Expert@FW:0]# snmpwalk -v2c -c public localhost .1.3.6.1.4.1.2620.1.1.26.1.11
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.2620.1.1.26.1.11.0 = Gauge32: 0

[Expert@FW:0]# snmpwalk -v2c -c public localhost .1.3.6.1.4.1.2620.1.1.26.1.12
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.2620.1.1.26.1.12.0 = Gauge32: 0

The proper output should look something like the following:

[Expert@FW:0]# snmpwalk -v2c -c public localhost .1.3.6.1.4.1.2620.1.1.26.1.11
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.2620.1.1.26.1.11.0 = Gauge32: 21874488

[Expert@FW:0]# snmpwalk -v2c -c public localhost .1.3.6.1.4.1.2620.1.1.26.1.12
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.2620.1.1.26.1.12.0 = Gauge32: 6356
