SED/Opal drive encryption stuck at 0 % Technical Level
  • One or more volumes on an SED/Opal disk does not finish encryption. This results in the disk being stuck at 0% encrypted.

On machines equipped with SED disk(s), and SED hardware encryption enabled in the policy, the entire disk will need to be encrypted.

We cannot support any 'Custom' volume encryption or skip encryption of hidden volumes.

This is due to a limitation of number of 'ranges' in the OPAL specification.
