'IPS' is not responding. Verify that 'IPS' is installed on the gateway Technical Level
Symptoms
  • "Error: 'IPS' is not responding. Verify that 'IPS' is installed on the gateway. If 'IPS' should not be installed verify that it is not selected in the Products List of the gateway (SmartDashboard > Gateway > General Properties > Check Point Products List)."

  • SmartView Monitor under 'IPS update Status' shows "Unknown".

  • SmartConsole > Gateways & Servers > Summary Tab > Device & License Information, shows wrong status.

Cause

This is a cosmetic issue caused by a failure on the Security Gateway to report its status and the status of its software blades.

The functionality of the software blades is not affected in anyway.
