LLDP issue with Intel X710 10G NIC connected to Cisco 5K Switches Technical Level
  • Nexus 5K switch shuts down its port connection to Intel X710 10G adapter.
  • Interface will not come up following an upgrade/reboot stating link to be down

The firmware engine on Intel X710 10G NIC consumes LLDP traffic as it is received. When a port of Cisco 5K Switches (with LLDP enabled) is connected to a port on Intel X710 10G NIC, the port on Cisco 5K Switches will not see the necessary LLDP data from Intel X710 10G NIC. So, the Cisco 5K Switches will have its port disabled after certain time
