Supported Security Appliance Models
Certified Combinations of Security Appliance Models in the Same Security Group
From R81.10, Maestro supports different Security Appliance models in the same Security Group.
The main purpose of the "Mix of appliance models" feature is to provide a solution for Maestro customers who use discontinued appliances series (End of Sale). These customers will be able to add newer supported appliances to the same Security Group with the discontinued appliances.
Only specific models are compatible to work together in the same Security Group. The supported combinations are based on several hardware specifications, such as number of CPU cores, HyperThreading, and others.
Important Note for R81.10 - You must disable the SMO Image Cloning in the Security Group before you assign an appliance of a model that is different than models of other appliances assigned in this Security Group (Known Limitation PMTR-71298).
See the Quantum Maestro Administration Guide (R81.10 and higher) - Chapter Configuring Security Groups > Section Special Configuration Scenarios > Section Configuring Weights for Security Group Members.
