Symptoms
"HTTP 500" error displayed in the browser instead of the UserCheck page.
UserCheck page is not shown when traffic is redirected to it.
UserCheck page is not shown when trying to access the page directly.
The following errors are seen in /opt/CPUserCheckPortal/log/error_log:
[:error] PHP Warning: Unknown: open(/opt/CPUserCheckPortal/session/sess_XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in Unknown on line 0

Cause
The directory /opt/CPUserCheckPortal/session is missing from the Security Gateway.
