CPLogFilePrint utility Technical Level
Solution

The CPLogFilePrint utility was added in R80.10 as part of Gaia OS. This utility prints the Check Point Security logs in text format (The historical command to do this, fw log, does not contain information that are included in current log files.)

Usage:

Specify the log file you wish to see. For example, to look at the current active log file:

[Expert@mgmt:0]# CPLogFilePrint $FWDIR/log/fw.log

Running CPLogFilePrint without arguments will give you usage for other parameters you can use.

Notes:

  • Outside of debugging issues with logging, use of this tool is not supported.
  • The output of this tool is subject to change between versions.

This solution has been verified for the specific scenario, described by the combination of Product, Version and Symptoms. It may not work in other scenarios.
