Introduction

Check Point Media Encryption Offline Access Tool is used on computers that do not have MEPP installed, to be able to access the encrypted containers on the removable media.

What it does: There are two tools bundled on MEPP encrypted removable medias, one for macOS and one for Windows. This tool can be run, and the user can then authenticate to gain access to the encrypted container and then read and write data to it without having MEPP installed.

Prerequisites

For Windows machines, make sure that Visual Studio 2017 redistributables are installed. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads
