Mgmt interface IP on appliance LCD shows "Wrong IP Please try again"
  • After upgrading memory to 12 GB (on 12600 appliance), the customer noticed that they were unable to reach the gateway. They found that the Mgmt interface had changed and etc/hosts had the wrong IP. After changing IP back to the original IP and rebooting, they were able to reach the gateway via the Mgmt interface. However, the Mgmt interface IP on the LCD shows "Wrong IP Please try again".
  • /var/log/messages shows "frontstage: Error: Management interface must have an IP address"

Issue is cosmetic. 


Contact Check Point Support to get a Hotfix for this issue. 

A Support Engineer will make sure the Hotfix is compatible with your environment before providing the Hotfix.
For faster resolution and verification please collect CPinfo files from the Security Management and Security Gateways involved in the case.
