What's New in 6000 and 7000 Appliances

    Check Point 6000/7000 series of Security Gateway appliances is the most advanced high-performance gateways that provide top price /performance in an easy-to-use configuration.

    Check Point 6000/7000 series of Security Gateways provide the most advanced Threat Prevention security for demanding enterprise networks.

    The Check Point 6000/7000 series comes with a first year subscription to the full SandBlast Prevention suite.

    The Check Point 6000/7000 series comes with Enterprise-grade SSD and support Standalone Management in all new Quantum models (6200/6400/6600/6700/6900/7000).

    The Check Point Quantum 6000/7000 series comprises the following families of products:

    6000 and 7000 Appliances Known Limitations

    The below table lists all the known limitations that are specific to 6000 and 7000 Appliances.

    ID Symptoms
    02277321 On 6500 / 6800 appliances, when using Solid-State Drive (SSD), the local logging feature in SmartDashboard is not supported on the Security Gateway.
    02277318 For 6500 / 6800 appliances: Solid-State Drive (SSD) is not supported with a Standalone Deployment (Security Management Server and Gateway on one server).
    - For 6500 / 6800 appliances: The size of the R80.20 / R80.10 Dual Image for these appliances exceeds the capacity of a DVD disc.
    Users should use the ISOmorphic Tool (build 168 and above) from sk65205.
    - Bypass network cards are not supported.
    - DC Power Supply is not available for 6200, 6600, 6900, 6400, 6700 and 7000 appliances.
