R80.10 Security Gateway send some wrong SNMP VRRP OID’s
Symptoms
  • R80.10 Security Gateway sends VRRP's notify traps (vrrpv2AuthFailure, vrrpv2NewMaster, vrrpv3NewMaster, vrrpv3ProtoError) as wrong OID.
  • R80.10 Security Gateway sends VRRP's notify traps (vrrpv2AuthFailure, vrrpv2NewMaster, vrrpv3NewMaster, vrrpv3ProtoError) regardless of the enable or disable state of vrrpv2NewMaster.
Cause

A software limitation in the code causes vrrpv2AuthFailure, vrrpv2NewMaster, vrrpv3NewMaster and vrrpv3ProtoError traps to be sent with the wrong trap OID, and causes the below settings to be ignored.

> set snmp traps trap vrrpv2AuthFailure disable

> set snmp traps trap vrrpv2NewMaster disable

> set snmp traps trap vrrpv3NewMaster disable

> set snmp traps trap vrrpv3ProtoError disable
