Cannot delete objects that are pointed to by an old deleted policy Technical Level
Symptoms
  • Objects that are pointed to by an old deleted access policy container cannot be deleted.
  • When running "Where Used..." on the target object, SmartConsole display shows "Where used failed" cpm.elg shows: ERROR com.checkpoint.management.appi.internal.AccessPolicyConverter.convert_aroundBody0:583 [unboundedTaskExecutor-21]: Error occurred while trying to get the GW xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx WhereUsed rules CpmGeneralException{base='com.checkpoint.management.is.exceptions.CpmIllegalArgumentException: value must not be empty', errorCode='CP_ERR_ILLEGAL_ARGUMENT', errorFamily='null', messageForUser='null', message='value must not be empty'}
Cause
  1. One or more orphaned Access Policy Containers exist in the DB (orphan access policy containers are not pointed to by any policy package). 
  2. One or more orphaned Access Policies exists in the DB (orphaned access policies are not pointed to by any access policy container).
  3. One or more orphaned HTTPS Policies exist in the DB (orphaned HTTPS policy are not pointed to by any policy package).
