How to manually run CPinfo when only have initial client installed Technical Level
Solution

If you have an initial client installed that has not received any policy, then you will not be able to follow the usual steps to collect a cpinfo.

However, you can still collect a cpinfo by running the cpinfo.exe manually.

To collect the logs manually:

  1. Open a command prompt as admin.
  2. cd to this path: C:\Program Files (x86)\CheckPoint\Endpoint Security\Endpoint Common\cpinfo
Note: For Windows 7, the correct file path is: C:\Program Files (x86)\CheckPoint\Endpoint Security Agent\Endpoint Common\cpinfo
  3. Run the cpinfo.exe
  4. A command prompt box will come up - press "c", "1", "3","Enter".
  5. Once it is finished, a Windows Explorer window will popup with a "cpinfo.username.date.cab".
  6. Send this file to Check Point Support.
Note: It may generate multiple cpinfo files. Send them all.
