Symptoms
- In PIM Sparse-mode, a prune is received for an existing multicast data stream. The prune is forwarded upstream, which stops data forwarding. Later, if a join is received for the pruned stream, the pruned state is not immediately removed. This delays the rebuild of the join state throughout the network and ultimately affects data forwarding.
