  • Red X Appears in SmartDashboard over certain AU when creating access roles.
  • Eventually a timeout occurs.
  • Dashboard Debug with environment variable "CP_DEV_MODE " shows:

Cause

This issue is caused as the query to the AD server which by default is using a kind of sorting that is causing high load on the AD server and 'User Picker' doesn't get any results. Gui may crash also. (relevant for very large AD servers)There is an option to disable the sort so the query will put less load the AD server and succeed.
