"Attack Information: Can't connect to the server" log is seen in IPS Technical Level
Symptoms
  • Connection between 2 hosts cannot be established and IPS produces the log "Attack Information: Can't connect to the server".
  • Security Gateway is configured to run in Proxy mode.
  • Traffic capture confirms that SYN packet is sent, however there is no SYN-ACK response seen.
Cause

A connectivity issue between the Security Gateway and the server results in the SYN-ACK packet not arriving to the Security Gateway.
