Traffic outage might occur on VSX Gateway with configured OSPF when adding a new Virtual System
Symptoms
  • Traffic outage might occur on VSX Gateway / VSX Cluster Member with configured OSPF when adding a new Virtual System.

  • After enabling generation of core dump files per sk92764 on VSX Gateway / VSX Cluster Members, core dump files for 'RouteD' process were generated in the /var/log/dump/usermode/ directory.

  • /var/log/routed.log file shows that adding a new Virtual System triggers deletion of the IP address from an external interface, on which OSPF is configured.

    Example: routed_1.log-Dec 5 00:30:31.131457 ifa_unnumbered: addresses for interface:int address: 127.0.0.1
    routed_1.log-Dec 5 00:30:31.131457
    routed_1.log:Dec 5 00:30:31.131457 EVENT bond1.10 x.x.x.x/30 -> x.x.x.x <>
