"uninstall password is invalid" error when Endpoint Security Client uninstall fails Technical Level
Symptoms
  • The uninstallation procedure fails with the error " uninstall password is invalid ".
  • The uninstall password does not work.
  • cpda.log states: "FDE: Opened registry value name: Uninstall, value: 2 (isFDEUninstalling)".
Cause

FDE blade is in "uninstallation in progress" state, which blocks enforcement of new policies and uninstallation.
