"Wrong Type (should be Gauge32 or Unsigned32): INTEGER" message in SNMP Response Technical Level
Symptoms
  • "Wrong Type (should be Gauge32 or Unsigned32): INTEGER" message in SNMP Response (e.g., when running the snmpwalk command for Check Point OIDs).
Cause

The involved Check Point OIDs are of type 'Unsigned32', but they were incorrectly defined as 'Counter32' in the MIB file ($CPDIR/lib/snmp/chkpnt.mib) - e.g., fwAccepted, fwDropped, fwNumConn, memTotalVirtual, procIdleTime, MultiProcEntry.
