Symptoms
Hardware Diagnostic Tool test fails on "Self-test" for 1GbE expansion cards "CPAC-2-1F" and "CPAC-4-1F" when an SFP transceiver "CPAC-TR-1T" for RJ45 (Copper) is connected to the appliance.
When an SFP transceiver for fiber ports is connected, Hardware Diagnostic Tool test completes successfully for these 1GbE expansion cards.
Cause
Problem occurs because of inconsistent registers state accepted by i82580 chip with copper SFP transceiver attached, after an attempt to configure speed/duplex to 100/full.
