Configuring PIM Sparse Mode with dynamic Rendezvous Point (RP) fails in cluster environment.
RTGRTG0019 PIM: the IP address must be an IPV4 local address matching a PIM interface or a loopback address not in 127.0.0.0/8" error when executing the following Clish commands:
- set pim candidate-rp local-address <Cluster_VIP_Address>
- set pim bootstrap-candidate local-address <Cluster_VIP_Address>
Using the Cluster VIP address in Gaia Portal for Candidate Rendezvous Point / Bootstrap Router fails as well.
The Gaia Portal "PIM" page (in "Advanced Routing" section) hangs/freezes when configuring ClusterXL as PIM Router + Dynamic Rendezvous Point + Bootstrap Router (per sk100239 - section "(3-2-C)").
If users cancels the configuration, then all options on the "PIM" page become grayed out.
Interface validation fails.
- Cluster VIP addresses are not treated as interfaces capable of running PIM.
- Defined IPv4 address are not fully validated to belong to a PIM-enabled interface.
