SmartConsole / SmartDashboard crashes when editing Management server object
Symptoms
  • Connecting to Management R77.30 or R77.30.X with SmartConsole R77.30 and editing the Security Management server object causes an application crash.

  • After upgrade to R80, SmartConsole crashes when editing the Security Management server object.

  • GUI debug and / or Crash report shows the following (last) line (sk112334):

[TIME][PID]Assert: <portal_name> was not registered. Method: GetPortalCustomizationInfo, File: (0)
    OR
[TIME][PID]Assert: udm_portal was not registered. Method: GetPortalCustomizationInfo, File: (0)

  • Sometimes the last time can look like this:

[TIME][PID]Assert: was not registered. Method: GetPortalCustomizationInfo, File: (0) (notice the space before "was")
Cause

Connecting to a Security Management R77.30 or R77.30.x with SmartDashboard R77.30.01 or SmartDashboard R77.30.02 and editing the Security Management server object pushes the UDM portal as 'Management & User Portal' to the Management portals.

When a 'Management & User Portal' on the Security Management is enabled, connecting to with incorrect SmartDashboard will cause the crash. Same issue occurs for SmartConsole R80 when connecting to a Management R80 that was upgraded from R77.30 or R77.30.x that had a 'Management & User Portal' in its Management portals.
