Not possible to configure CoreXL on HP ProLiant Gen9 server
Symptoms
  • Not possible to configure CoreXL on HP ProLiant Gen9 server.

  • Output of "cat /proc/cpuinfo" command shows only one physical processor.

  • The following message could be seen during boot up, or in the output of "dmesg" command:
    weird, boot CPU (#0) not listed by the BIOS.

Cause

The machine booted with one CPU core available.


Solution

Access BIOS settings and change the currently defined APIC setting to the opposite one.
