Assigning of Global Policy fails on some Domain Management Servers after modifying a global object
Symptoms
  • Assigning of Global Policy fails on some Domain Management Servers after modifying a global object.

    Example:

    1. Connect with SmartDomain Manager to Multi-Domain Security Management Server
    2. Open Global Policy
    3. Open a global object that is used on Domain Management Servers
    4. Change the object's name
    5. Save the changes
    6. Assign the Global Policy on all Domain Management Servers
    7. Assigning of Global Policy fails on some Domain Management Servers
Cause

By default, UID of global objects is checked on the Global level and on the level of the relevant Domain Management Servers.

Assigning of Global Policy fails due to mismatch in UID of a global object between these levels.
