Hardware enhancements compared to the 600 series:

  • WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac MIMO 3x3  
  • Up to 200 Mbps when all threat prevention functions are activated 
  • Up to 400K Concurrent connections 
  • Console port via RJ45 or mini-USB


Software Blades enhancements compared to the 600 series:

  • Accelerated path for QoS enforcement

The following issues have been resolved with Check Point R77.20.15 for 700 Appliance:

LAN-LAN routed or bridged traffic performance is affected when Anti-Bot or Anti-Virus are configured.
01818804  Traffic is not accelerated when a bridge to the Internet is configured.
VPN
01864911 The VPN certificate becomes invalid too soon in specific scenarios in locally managed appliances.
01842981 VPN is sometimes unstable when ISP redundancy or dialers are configured in the Internet configuration. 
WebUI
01848023 The gateway side of the WebUI becomes unresponsive if the license information in the cloud is not synced correctly. Refer to sk109394.
Anti-Spam
01850630 When the Anti-Spam blade is enabled and protects an Exchange server, PDF attachments passing through might be corrupted.
