Mobile Access users do not receive push notifications if their usernames contain domain name
Symptoms
  • Mobile Access users do not receive push notifications on their mobile devices.

  • Output of "UserSettingsUtil show_exchange_registered_users" command on Mobile Access Gateway does not show the involved users as registered.

  • $FWDIR/log/pushd_failed_posts file on Mobile Access Gateway is empty.

  • $FWDIR/log/pushd.elg file on Mobile Access Gateway is empty.

Cause

Mobile Access Gateway fails to parse correctly usernames that contain domain name ("domain\user"). As a result, push notifications fail to register due to mismatch in username and domain.
