  • Output of "snmptranslate" command returns different OIDs for objects in "chkpntTrap" branch.

    Example:

    • [Expert@HostName:0]# cp $CPDIR/lib/snmp/chkpnt-trap.mib /usr/share/snmp/mibs/
      [Expert@HostName:0]# snmptranslate -m ALL -On -IR chkpntTrap
      .1.3.6.1.4.1.2620.1.2000
      [Expert@HostName:0]# snmptranslate -m ALL -On -IR chkpntTempertureTrap
      .1.3.6.1.4.1.2620.1.2000.5.1.1
      [Expert@HostName:0]# rm -i /usr/share/snmp/mibs/chkpnt-trap.mib
      
    • [Expert@HostName:0]# cp /etc/snmp/GaiaTrapsMIB.mib /usr/share/snmp/mibs/
      [Expert@HostName:0]# snmptranslate -m ALL -On -IR chkpntTrap
      .1.3.6.1.4.1.2620.1.3000

Cause

Branch "chkpntTrap" is defined in both $CPDIR/lib/snmp/chkpnt-trap.mib file (with OID .1.3.6.1.4.1.2620.1.2000) and /etc/snmp/GaiaTrapsMIB.mib file (with OID .1.3.6.1.4.1.2620.1.3000).
