    To connect to the command line interface of the 15000 / 23000 Appliances, a Mini USB can be used. To use the Mini USB console port, download and install the 15000 & 23000 Appliances Mini USB console driver on the console client machine (desktop/laptop).

     

    Data Center Security 15000 and 23000 Appliances Known Limitations

    The below table lists all of the 15000 and 23000 Appliances specific known limitations.
    Note: All Check Point R77.30 limitations are also relevant.

    ID Symptoms
    01834483 Interface LEDs for 40GbE line cards will illuminate during reboot if a cable link is established, even if the interface is down.
    01923513 When running the Hardware Diagnostic Tool twice consecutively, it always fails on the 40GbE self test in the second test. If multiple tests are required, reboot the device between tests.
    01894982 In CPview Network/Interfaces, the link speed of 40GbE interfaces displays N/A instead of 40GbE.
    01866405 40GbE line cards do not support auto-negotiation (although it is available in the Gaia WebUI).
    01861839 When running the Hardware Diagnostic Tool with a 40GbE line card without an external loopback cable, the output is not shown on the screen.
    Successful tests can be validated by viewing the hardware diagnostics log in /var/log/diagnostics after reboot.
    01918497 The PSU alarm sounds 90 seconds after disconnecting a power cable.
    02277321 When using Solid State Drive (SSD), the local logging feature in SmartDashboard is not supported on the Security Gateway. In case of a disconnection between the Log Server and the Security Gateway, logs will automatically be saved locally on the Security Gateway.
    02277318 Solid State Drive (SSD) is not supported with a Standalone Deployment (Security Management Server and Gateway on one server).
    02277368 In 15600, 23500, 23800 and 23900 appliances, Solid State Drive (SSD) provides a total of 960GB storage space on the two storage devices in the system (480GB for each device). The equilvalent HDD based product provides a total of 2TB storage space on the two storage devices in the system (1TB for each device).
    In 15400 appliances, the default configuration contains one storage device.
    SSD provides a total of 480GB storage space on the storage device. The equilvalent HDD based product provides a total of 1TB storage space on the storage device. If an additional storage device is added to the appliance, the SSD will provide a total of 960GB storage space. The equivalent HDD based product provides a total of 2TB storage space on two devices.
    - The size of the R80.10 / R77.30 Dual Image for these appliances exceeds the capacity of a DVD disc.
    Users should use the ISOmorphic Tool (build 160 and above) from sk65205.
    - On 23900 appliances, Hyper Threading is hard-coded to be disabled on R77.30 and R80.10, with no impact on performance
